  • Free entrance: The first Sunday of January, February, March, November and December and during European Heritage Days (3rd weekend of September each year) Last entry into the castle is 45 minutes before the indicated closing time Closed on January 1, May 1, and December 25
  • The Sainte-Chapelle closes temporarily every day between 12 pm and 2 pm.
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended as the site includes historic areas and walking routes.
  • An augmented reality tablet is included and available in French, English, and Spanish.
  • Visitors under 18 years old and EU citizens under 26 can enter for free. A valid photo ID must be shown at the ticket office before proceeding to the monument entrance.
  • Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Only guide dogs and assistance animals are allowed.
  • Strollers are not permitted inside the monument but may be left outside.
  • Maximum luggage size is 30 × 40 × 15 cm. There is no luggage storage facility.
  • Smoking is prohibited throughout the entire site.
  • Some outdoor areas are exposed to wind and heat, while some indoor areas are unheated.
  • Food and drinks are not allowed in visitor areas.
  • Consumption is permitted in the dining area in the keep courtyard.
  • Restrooms are available in the keep courtyard and behind the gift shop, with access requiring a valid monument admission ticket.
  • Getting There: Reach Château de Vincennes by Metro Line 1, RER A, or buses 46, 56, and 86; on-site parking is only available for visitors with reduced mobility and a valid disability card.
  • For Paris souvenirs, you can visit Souvenirs of Champ de Mars on your tour date or the following 2 days. (open everyday 10:00-23:00)
